Let Me Run
Feetures proudly sponsors the Charlotte-based nonprofit organization, Let Me Run, which has helped over 34,000 boys across more than 30 states. Let Me Run inspires boys through the power of running to be their true selves, to build healthy relationships, and to live an active lifestyle. After every season, family, friends, and teachers are astounded by the transformation each boy makes. Let Me Run boys leave the program with a sense of accomplishment, a deeper belief in self, and a greater appreciation for their peers.
How does Let Me Run Work?
Twice a week for seven weeks, two trained volunteer coaches lead an elementary or middle school team through practice. Designed to amplify self-expression, respect for others, and confidence, each practice includes a lesson from the Let Me Run curriculum that incorporates running, games and activities. Practices include multiple team building aspects, including a Unity Lap where all team members run together and time to share positive words about other boys on the team. Each fall and spring season culminates in a timed 5k race festival that celebrates the boys’ personal growth and encourages goal setting.
